Construction Calculators
Concrete, square footage and building calculators.
About these calculators
Fifteen site-tested calculators for materials estimation: concrete volumes with wastage margins, brick counts including mortar joints, paint coverage accounting for surface porosity and coats, steel weight from bar dimensions, and topsoil or mulch depths converted to bag counts available at the local supplier.
Estimates follow trade practice — standard mix ratios like 1:2:4, industry coverage rates, rounded bag quantities up — and every result reminds you to confirm on-site conditions, since substrate, weather and workmanship move real consumption more than any formula.
Choosing the right calculator
Structuring and surfaces
Concrete computes wet volume to dry-material split for common mixes; brick estimates counts plus mortar for standard module sizes; square-footage and roofing quantify areas before material quotes arrive; stair lays out riser-tread geometry within comfortable-step conventions.
Finishing and landscaping
Paint calculates litres by coat count and surface type; tile handles room areas with cutting wastage; topsoil, mulch and gravel convert bed dimensions into cubic yards, tonnes or bags; sand and asphalt follow their own density conventions.
Utilities and metalwork
BTU sizes air-conditioning to room volume, insulation and sun exposure; tank-volume gives capacity in litres and cubic feet for cylindrical and rectangular tanks; metal-weight prices stock by section profile and current rate per kilogram.
