Finance Calculators
Loan EMI, tax, stamp duty and investment calculators for India.
About these calculators
Money decisions in India carry a specific texture: RBI-regulated banks quote reducing-balance rates while informal lenders still talk flat rates, gratuity follows the Payment of Gratuity Act's 15/26 formula, and stamp duty changes as you cross state borders. Generic global calculators miss these details. The hundred tools in this section are built around Indian practice first — home-loan EMIs on reducing balance, income-tax slabs under the current regime, GST at standard rates, gratuity and pension rules — while keeping internationally useful tools such as CAGR, NPV and WACC accurate to textbook standards.
Every finance calculator shows its working where possible: the EMI breakdown, the interest portion versus principal, the effect of prepayment. The goal is not just an answer but the reasoning behind it, because a borrower who understands why a shorter tenure saves lakhs negotiates differently from one who only knows a monthly figure.
Choosing the right calculator
Before borrowing
Start with house-affordability if buying property, or the loan family (personal, auto, business) for other credit. Always run debt-ratio alongside any loan calculator — lenders reject applications above roughly half of income committed to EMIs, so knowing your number before applying avoids wasted enquiries that dent your credit score.
Before investing
SIP, compound-interest and CAGR answer three different questions: what regular monthly investing builds, what lump sums grow into, and what a past investment actually returned annualised. Use average-return when you have year-by-year history — it separates arithmetic from geometric mean, the difference most portfolios hide.
Taxes and take-home
Income-tax covers both regimes with slab logic; salary-to-hourly and take-home-pay translate CTC into what actually lands in your account. GST and VAT handle indirect tax on invoices; stamp-duty is state-specific including the female-buyer concessions several states offer.
