Your next birthday is 15 August 2027, a Sunday, and you will turn 31 — the countdown shows 366 days because the window runs from the day before this year's birthday to the next one. Use the same two dates to check a child's age at school admission or to confirm age-based eligibility where the cut-off falls on a fixed date.
Tips and Common Mistakes
- •Tip 1: Leave the reference date on today for a current age, or set it explicitly for an age on a specific day such as an exam or interview date.
- •Tip 2: For a 29 February birthday, non-leap years resolve the celebration to 1 March — check the convention before using it for official forms.
- •Tip 3: Use the totals row when you need a single number — total days is what insurance and visa forms usually ask for.
- ✗Mistake 1: Swapping day and month — 15/08/1995 means 15 August, not 8 May, and the whole result changes.
- ✗Mistake 2: Assuming age in years equals total years for every purpose — official age is the years/months/days figure, not total days divided by 365.
