TrueCalculator

Date Difference Calculator

Count the number of days between two dates, including business days.

Pick both dates to see the difference.

How it works

Calendar days = end − start; business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays.

Example: 1–31 Jan 2024 = 30 days, of which 23 are business days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the result include the end date?

By default the end date is not counted, like most calendar-day calculations. Turn on 'Include end day' to count it — for example to include today in a countdown.

What are business days?

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Saturday and Sunday. Public holidays are not subtracted, since they vary by state and city.

Why does the tool show months as an average?

Months have different lengths, so a precise month count depends on the dates. The average shown uses 30.4375 days per month, the standard annual-average conversion.

Is the day count inclusive or exclusive?

Exclusive by default (the number of full days between the two dates). Toggle 'Include end day' to switch to inclusive counting.
